Our clinic facials are professional, skin-focused treatments designed to cleanse, hydrate and refresh the complexion while supporting your skin barrier and long-term skin health. They're ideal if you want a healthy glow, smoother texture, help with mild congestion or dryness, or simply some dedicated self-care with expert guidance. Most appointments take 45–60 minutes (longer options may be available depending on add-ons). Facials suit most skin types, including sensitive skin, but we'll tailor products and steps to your needs. A facial may not be suitable if you have an active skin infection (e.g. cold sore, impetigo), a severe eczema/psoriasis flare, sunburn, recent skin peels/laser, or if you're using prescription acne treatments that make your skin fragile. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, we can still offer a facial, but we'll avoid certain ingredients and heat-based steps where appropriate.

What Happens During Treatment
We'll begin with a short consultation to confirm your concerns, current skincare, allergies/sensitivities and any recent treatments. After cleansing and skin assessment, your facial is tailored and may include gentle exfoliation, steam (if appropriate), extractions for congestion (only when safe), targeted mask therapy, hydrating serums, facial massage, and finishing products including SPF. We'll talk you through what we're using and why, and you'll receive simple home-care recommendations to help maintain results.
Expected Results
Most people notice immediate skin comfort and a brighter, more hydrated look. Results are subtle and skin-quality focused, typically lasting a few days to 1–2 weeks, depending on your skin and routine.
How long results may last: Regular facials (often every 4–6 weeks) can help maintain ongoing improvement.
Downtime & Recovery
There is usually no downtime. You may experience mild, temporary redness, warmth, slight tightness, or small marks after extractions, typically settling within a few hours to 24 hours.
Side Effects, Risks & Contraindications
Possible side effects
- Mild, temporary redness or warmth
- Slight tightness
- Small marks after extractions, typically settling within a few hours to 24 hours
Risks
- Irritation or allergic reaction to products
- Breakouts after occlusive products or extractions
- Bruising from massage on fragile capillaries
- Post-inflammatory pigmentation in some skin tones if the skin is over-exfoliated
- Occasionally, infection after extractions if the skin is picked afterwards
Contraindications
- Active infection, including cold sores
- Open wounds or severe inflamed acne
- Recent sunburn
- Significantly compromised skin, e.g. recent isotretinoin use, unless medically cleared
Aftercare
Avoid heavy makeup, strenuous exercise, saunas/steam rooms, and very hot showers for 24 hours, especially if you've had extractions. Keep skincare simple for 24–48 hours: gentle cleanser, moisturiser, and SPF daily. Avoid scrubs, strong acids, retinoids, and new active products for 2–3 days unless advised. Do not pick at the skin or any post-extraction marks. Keep pillowcases and phone screens clean, and continue regular SPF to protect the skin barrier and reduce pigmentation risk. If you develop increasing redness, swelling, pain, crusting, or a spreading rash, contact the clinic for advice.
